This is a two year course and once completed is equivalent to two A levels. This course provides an opportunity to develop an excellent understanding of many of the key issues related to the caring professions. You will be assessed by producing a portfolio of evidence. This will include written tasks, observations and practical tasks. Students can learn at their own pace and learn by applying theory to practice. To achieve the Diploma you need to achieve a total of 120 credits by completing a number of compulsory and optional units. You will have the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge to a real health and social care or early years setting by completing a work placement.
