New specification for September Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behaviour. This qualification is more practical than a traditional A-Level and the skills acquired will support your further study. You must be able to work independently and to meet deadlines. This course is assessed through projects, assignments and practical exams. Most units are assessed by the College and moderated by the awarding body. Both the AS and A-Level are assessed by coursework and exam. AS Psychology (AQA) King's Cross Centre 1 year - Year 1 Level 3 What will I study? You will study: - Social influence - Memory - Attachment - Psychopathology - Approaches in Psychology - Biopsychology - Research methods A2 Psychology (AQA) King's Cross Centre 1 year - Year 2 Level 3 What will I study? During the second year of the course, you will be examined on the content from the AS year listed above including a more advanced version of research methods as well as issues and debates in Psychology. You will also study three topics from the following list: relationships, gender, cognition and development, schizophrenia, eating behaviour, stress, aggression, forensic psychology and addiction.
