What will I study? This is a work-related course where you will develop your skills by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations and activities. - Individual needs in Health and Care - Communication and human rights - Cultural diversity - Anatomy and physiology - Diet and health - Creative and therapeutic activities - Health and Social Care services As well as a BTEC vocational qualification you will also study Functional Skills, Maths and English. There have been changes to the assessment of BTEC Firsts. 75% of your work will be internally assessed and you will take a paper-based test, a set task or performance or an on screen on demand test. The external assessment will be at least one of the core units and a mandatory unit.
