English Language

UPDATED 20161118 12:48:50

English Language 'A' Level enables students to develop subject expertise and build on skills they have developed at GCSE by engaging creatively and critically with a wide range of texts and discourses. Students will create texts and reflect critically on their own processes of production, while analysing the texts produced by others. This is a two-year course which is assessed with two final examinations. A coursework component - language in action, an independent language investigation and original writing - is worth 20% of the final award
