English Literature - A Level

The course comprises the study of World War One Literature. Assessment will be a combination of coursework (40%) and a terminal examination (60%). The examination will be a 2 hour paper. There will be two pieces of coursework; an interpretation of a prose text and a comparison of two drama texts. This course is ideal if you enjoy reading and discussing writers themes and concerns. There will be lots of opportunities for you to swap ideas with your peers, and your own opinions will always be valued. Wide reading is an essential element of this course, and you will be given guidance as to which books are both useful and enjoyable.
