The Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Applied Science is a 60-credit and 360-guided-learning-hour (GLH) qualification that consists of 3 mandatory units plus 3 optional units from a choice of 13 that provide for a combined total of 60 credits (where at least 45 credits must be at Level 3 or above). BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma extends the specialist work-related focus from the BTEC Level 3 Certificate and covers the key knowledge and practical skills required in the appropriate vocational sector. It is broadly equivalent to one GCE A Level.
