Year One Unit1 Breadth Study (60%) Britain 1625- 1701: Con?ict, revolution and settlement. This will give you an insight into a very important part in the development of Britain, in which many of our ideas about the relationship between government and people are shaped. Britain experiences two highly signifcant con?icts: the Civil War and the Glorious Revolution and a regicide with momentous consequences. Unit 2 Depth Study (40%) Russia in Revolution, 1894-1924: The study of this period of Russian History takes you from Tsarist autocracy to Communist dictatorship, the impact of which is still felt in the world today. Year Two Unit1 Breadth Study (30%) Britain, 1625- 1701: Con?ict, revolution and settlement. (See Unit 1 at AS for details) Unit 2 Depth Study (20%) Russia in revolution 1894-1924: (See Unit 1 at AS for details) Unit 3 Breadth Study (30%): The Witch Craze in Britain Europe and North America c1590-1736. This study of a period of over 100 years gives you the opportunity to examine themes, trends and change over time. Unit 4 Historical Enquiry (20%): This provides you with the opportunity to apply the skills you have developed in the other 3 units and to pursue your own interests by studying any topic of your choice. In addition to studying the events of your chosen topic you will examine and evaluate the views of historians.
