Introduction to the Travel and Tourism Industry Level 1 Diploma

This course provides you with an understanding of the basic principles of the Travel and Tourism industry and allows you to explore the various avenues of work within the industry. It allows you to obtain transferable skills that can be applied to the workplace or further study. You will study a range of units including customer service, UK visitor attractions, hospitality in travel and tourism and travel or holiday sales to name just a few. You will also work to develop your employability skills by completing the careers in travel and tourism unit. You will be able to access the air cabin facilities located at the Cauldon Campus and benefit from guest speakers from travel industry backgrounds to enhance your study. Functional skills of maths, English and ICT are also integral to the course.
