Permanent Hair Removal & Skin Rejuvenation Level 4 Diploma The Level 4 Diploma in Permanent Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvenation (QCF) will provide you with the understanding and skills to provide permanent hair reduction for all hair types. Darker hair can be treated using intense light and laser systems, whilst lighter hair can be treated using electrical epilation. This qualification will also provide you with the skills to treat skin imperfections and to rejuvenate the skin using either intense pulsed light systems, advanced epilation or microdermabrasion. You will gain a deeper understanding of the physiology of ageing and you will also focus on the management of client care and health and safety in the salon. This qualification has been mapped to the relevant NOS (National Occupational Standards), and is accredited on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications. This course is one day a week and therefore be worked around employment or outside commitments. The aim of the course is to make you competent and confident in advanced practical skills that a salon or business may require. Not only will you learn the practical skills of each unit, you will also gain experience in the vital communication and knowledge to enable you to work successfully in the industry. This course involves a variety of theory based units, which will give you vital knowledge in advanced treatments including laser, IPL and advanced epilation, which is how to remove thread veins, skin tags and milia. All treatments must be carried out in a safe and effective manner to suit client needs and suitability.

The practical and written work is also internally verified by other members of staff as a quality check and then an external verifier from the Awarding Body comes in twice per year to check our systems and procedures.There are continual practical assessments, written assessment questions, internal and external written exams, case studies, and a portfolio of evidence for your practical treatments. Observed work, questioning, written assignments and a portfolio of evidence. Minimum of 80% attendance required. All course work and case studies must be submitted by deadlines.
