Open to anyone over the age of 20 who has completed a Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills. This course will build upon previous learning, will further develop and enhance counselling skills and self awareness. Several Saturdays and Sundays are involved in this course. This course is for those who have successfully completed a Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills and wish to further develop the learning gained and who wish to pursue a career in counselling.It is also for those who use counselling skills in a variety of settings, working in areas like education, health and social care, the voluntary sector,in industry and commerce and anyone with an interest in developing their communication skills, self awareness and personal development.Please note this course does not qualify you as a counsellor. The ABC Level 3 Dipoma in Counselling Skills qualification aims to:- develop a repertoire of interpersonal and counselling skills;- introduce learners to experiential learning processes that will include a high element of personal growth work, developing further self-confidence and self-esteem;- underpin counselling skills with an understanding of key elements of the main theoretical approaches in counselling;- increase the self-awareness of the person and their awareness of the impact that they have on people;- develop and understanding of what counselling training entails and assist learners to make a more informed choice as to whether or not they are suited to undertake vocational counselling training as opposed to other types of training;- prepare learners to progress onto appropriate further qualifications. - The identification, integration and use of counselling skills.- Identification of basic assumptions and philosophies of some counselling modalities.- Counselling skills and diversity.- Working ethically with counselling skills.- The consideration of issues for personal development.- Peer and self evaluation - Developing a deeper underst
