This hairdressing course covers all the skills and knowledge you need to become a successful hairdresser or barber. You will gain these skills in fully equipped, realistic hairdressing salons, with experienced and dedicated teachers. You will also gain a Level 1 Diploma qualification in hairdressing. The skills you will cover include: • Shampooing and conditioning hair• Styling and dressing hair• Colouring hair• Perming techniques• Cutting techniques• Styling men's hair• Health and safety• Working in a salon• Reception services• Plaiting hair• Creating a professional image Students will undertake a work experience placement in a hairdressing salon and learn employability skills.
