This course will be taught at the College or at a local sports club and combine the theoretical aspects of sport with your practical skills. You will study a wide variety of topics which will equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to progress to higher education or employment The course is focused on learning and understanding sports participation and performance through anatomy and physiology, sports and coaching, fitness testing and training, sports management and a wide variety of other sports related subjects. Units include: The body in action: Sports injuries: Analysis: Sports nutrition: Coaching: Training: Officiating: Practical individual and team sports: The anatomy and physiology of sport: Events Management.
