Who is this course for? This course is for anyone who wants to understand about the role of a mentor and designed for people who may have a mentoring role in their job or volunteering especially when working with children or in the care sector. What will I learn on this course? This qualification will help you develop knowledge of the role of a mentor and become aware of the skills needed to be a mentor. The course will cover the definition of mentoring, highlight the skills required for effective mentoring and offer guidance for developing mentoring skills. How will I learn? You will learn through a variety of methods including sharing and discussing experiences. Your work will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include tasks set by your tutor such as designing charts or leaflets, coursework or methods such as oral questioning. What qualifications will I gain? Level 1 Award in Mentoring. What could this course lead to? This course can lead to the Level 2 in Mentoring. Can I join anytime? Courses starts as from January.
