If you would like to develop your understanding of the components that make up the world of theatre, this course is for you. You will learn the techniques of a range of theatre practitioners, from the political plays of Bertolt Brecht to the innovative physical exploration work of Jerzy Grotowski. You will explore introducing new technologies into performance and learn how to adapt a wide variety of theatre texts into challenging and innovative work. While studying on the course you will take your theatre into a variety of working environments, playing in schools, community and local venues. Alongside practical work you will learn about the theatre business and track your own personal development. You will leave with the confidence to take on work in the performance industry.
