The course covers all the following units: Structure of the construction industry, Exploring health, safety and welfare in construction, Sustainability in the construction industry, Use of science and mathematics in construction, Construction processes and operations for low.rise domestic buildings, Construction methods and techniques for low.rise domestic buildings, Construction drawing techniques. In addition a further five units from a choice of 15 trade.related activities including joinery, plastering, painting and decorating, brickwork, plumbing, electrical, roofing and wall tiling. BTEC First Diplomas also provide learners with opportunities to develop and apply Functional Skills.
