This course is designed for the intermediate groomer and is taught one day a week over 28 weeks. This course is for students who have completed the Level 2 certificate for Dog Grooming assistant. It will teach the industry standards of dog grooming that are needed to either seek employment as a pet groomer, become self-employed and progress onto the Level 3 Diploma for Professional Dog stylists. It develops the skills gained from the level 2 course including promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of animals, assessing and planning the groom and carrying out styling and finishing of dogs. The lessons are mainly practical based, giving the student a realistic experience in customer care, cash handling, cleaning and Health and Safety as well as grooming.
