A Level Classics

A Level Classical Civilisations offers a unique opportunity to study the culture, history, and politics of civilisations, looking at society, values, art, archaeology, architecture, literature, philosophy and religion. Candidates will study Greek Tragedies and the context the literature was written in. The course also provides an insight into cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Ostia and life in Roman Italy. Leading to an understanding of social identity, the different social classes and buildings, events and institutions within the cities.
