A Level History encourages you to explore the events and issues that have shaped the modern world we live in. The focus is on modern European history and 16th Century British history with an emphasis on change and development over time with an opportunity to complete an in-depth study on an aspect of recent history. Students will learn about Germany 1817-1991 and Religious Conflict and the Church of England. Students will play and active part in lessons via presentations and discussions. You will be encouraged to research topics independently and read widely about events. Extensive use of the onsite library and ICT resources, and visits to Warwick University.
