Foundation In Engineering

UPDATED 20161114 08:49:28

This entry level programme gives learners the chance to gain a BTEC Certificate in Work Skills and plan a suitable career path with the help of friendly and supportive staff. While improving English, Maths and ICT skills, learners get the time to consider their options which might be to access further engineering courses or to develop the skills employers want. The activities allow them to build confidence, work independently and as part of a team. There are opportunities to meet and work with other learners who have similar aspirations. Learners will also work as a key player in a team on community and fundraising projects and take part in enrichment. Learners will spend one day a week in the engineering department.
