Law A Level What will I Study? Relating to the law in England. Students will gain an understanding of the English Legal System. What will I Study? Law is not just about police, courts and criminals. Law concerns the legal framework on which we build our everyday lives as individuals, family members and our rights as citizens and consumers. The aim of the AS/A Level Law course is to explore the underlying framework of the law and learn about and apply key areas of the law, i.e. Criminal Law and Tort Law. The course leads to a national A Level qualification. The course will focus on: Law making and the legal system The concept of liability Criminal law The law of tort. How will I be assessed? You will be assessed by four examinations, two in each year. There is no coursework for this subject. Entry Requirements Students should hold a minimum of 5 A* - C GCSE grades. Progression You will be able to progress to a law degree at university. A Level Law will also prepare you for further study and careers in commerce, finance, publishing, communications, public relations and marketing.
