If you're fascinated by machines and like to get to grips with how things fit together to run smoothly, then this course is for you. The HND programme will give you the skills and knowledge needed to progress your career across a range of jobs in maintenance engineering. Maintenance engineers play a crucial role in keeping manufacturing and processing plants in good order. Using technology they can help reduce costs, improve safety and streamline processes, so they are important people! With this course will gain skills and knowledge across a range of core and more specialist units. The course will suit you if you've completed relevant studies at an advanced level (A level or equivalent) or have relevant industry experience and want to pursue a career in maintenance engineering. You will complete significant project-based learning including laboratory investigations, design work, projects, case studies and lectures. You'll also undertake independent study and practical problem-solving. The course will help develop your communication skills, and we'll introduce you to both computerised and conventional controls.
