We offer the FdA in Children's and Young People's Services in partnership with University of Derby and it has been developed in conjunction with employers, so you can be confident it's directly relevant to your career. You can choose from three pathways to suit you: Early Years, Teaching Assistant and Health and Social Care. If you are a practitioner working with children or young people from birth to 19 years old, whether in an education or care setting, you can use this foundation degree to enhance your professional skills. You will also develop further academic knowledge and understanding. You can specialise in an area that is relevant to your work. Modules may include: Starting to Study; Work-Based Reflective Practice 1; Early Years Provision and Practice; Supporting Teaching and Learning; Psychological Approaches to Care; Equality and Diversity; Integrated Services; Children and Young People Communicating; Research Methods and Practice; Secondary Research; Understanding Behaviour; Work-Based Reflective Practice 2; Children's, Young People's and Family Rights; Working with Parents and Carers.
