This course is a fantastic opportunity to explore a range of exciting creative pathways. The first year is structured to allow you to shape an individual route, selecting assignments that you are most excited by; studying specialist techniques such as ceramics, glass and metal, mixed media image creation, specialist design software, textiles, garment construction, printmaking and photography. Alongside the practical work you will develop your research skills and an understanding of visual language and how this is used to communicate ideas and concepts in art and design. In the second year you will extend your knowledge in elements of fine art, graphic design, fashion and textiles and 3D design. This will prepare you for entry into a diverse range of higher education courses and careers within the creative industry.
