This course will allow you to specialise in one of the most exciting and demanding strands of theatre performance. On this course you will be taught singing, acting and dancing as a musical theatre performer and work towards performance projects in which you will be able to showcase your abilities. You will also study Musical Theatre as an historical theatre genre, which will deepen your knowledge and understanding of the discipline. The opportunities now available from the performing arts subject areas means we can offer totally flexible learning opportunities to suit your specific needs. You can study anything from a single option block qualification (BTEC National Extended Certificate) to full time study of performing arts (BTEC Extended Diploma - equivalent to 3 A levels over 2 years).
