To aim of the course is to provide you with the knowledge in how to prepare final accounts for sole traders, developing your understanding of accounting systems and the environment and principles under which organisations operate. The unit will be broken down into these learning outcomes: Understanding: accepted principle of accounting and double-entry bookkeeping; accounting methods of recording non-current assets, Accounting for: purchase of non-current assets; depreciation and adjustments; and for disposal of non-current assets, Preparing and extending the trial balance.
