AAT students must complete 2 out of a possible 5 optional papers in level 4. This is one of the optional units. The aim of this course is to understand, apply and demonstrate the principles of credit control in managing the granting of credit and collection of amounts outstanding from customers in an organisation. You will be able to give advice on the granting of credit, and also the collection of monies owed in compliance with relevant legislation, good practice and organisational policy. The unit will be broken down into these learning outcomes: Understand relevant legislation that impacts upon credit management, Use information from a variety of sources to grant credit to customers within organisational guidelines, Use a range of techniques for the collection of debts, Monitor and control the supply of credit.
