The Level 2 Certificate is an introduction to Early Years Education and Care (QCF) it will prepare you with the skills to work with children between birth and 5 years, and give you the knowledge and understanding for children up to 7 years. You will need to be working or volunteering in a childcare placement, with children aged between birth to 5 years, as an important part of the assessment process involves evaluating skills in real working situations. You will attend monthly half day tutorials at Achievement Training city centre location. Your tutor will support you throughout the course. The delivery of the qualification is done mainly at the workplace, the assessor will visit the workplace every 6-8 weeks. You will receive a login to an on-line portfolio account, which can be accessed from any Wifi point at work at home or in our centre through 3/4G. You will be provided with a detailed course programme. At the centre you will have the opportunity to network with other learners and to share practice and access to different resources to support your learning including, laptops, desktops, tablets and textbooks.
