This course is ideal for people wishing to progress onto a Level 2 study programme with aspirations to join the sports industry. The course is a combination of academic and practical sessions that will give you an insight into what's required to work in the sports industry. Sport is more than a job it requires a different ethos culture and commitment so from day one these themes will be used to educate and prepare you for work in the sports industry. You will be expected demonstrate a professionalism within sport and will be expected to wear your sports department t-shirts to all practical sessions in line with many sports careers and conduct yourself in a manner that represents the industry this will include; respect teamwork and discipline.
Name: Level 1 - BTEC Diploma in Sport Qualification title: - Qualification type: Assessment Through a combination of practical work presentations practical observations and a portfolio of assignments case studies and tests. Because this course requires something different from you we run a day assessment centre that all applicants must attend. The assessment centre will aim to test your suitability for the sports courses and give you an insight into the life of a sports student. We will be looking at your academic capabilities teamwork motivation & leadership skills and general qualities against those of the sports industry.
