Preparation for Employment

The aim of the session is to prepare fully for employment, especially for the job interview. You will be learning in a small, friendly group environment. The Session is Tutor led and will include:-Use handouts to update/adapt CVConduct research of an organization prior to the interviewDescribe how to prepare adequately for an interviewComplete a job application formDescribe how to plan a positive strategy for attending and participating in an interviewHave increased awareness of what type of question may be given – explore typical questionsIdentify tools to improve individual self-esteemIdentify methods of developing Personal GrowthState how to be able to recognise confident peopleIdentify their Self Limiting beliefs & develop a positive attitudeDefine assertiveness & recognise situations where it should be usedIdentify their motivations for work & write an action plan a to achieve self actualisationPractice relaxation techniques prior to an interviewUndertake with confidence the interview process by taking part in as an interviewerUndertake with confidence the interview process by taking part in interviewee.The sessions will comprise of tutor instruction and group activities, including a mock interview with constructive critique.
