English Language & Literature

UPDATED 20161107 15:56:01

Students develop analytical skills with which to interpret and evaluate how authors use language to craft meaning. They learn to consider contextual issues, both the context of the author's own time, when the text was produced, and how that text was received both then and now, by a modern audience. Students also develop their own writing skills, and must demonstrate their understanding of literary and language techniques through their own writing
