Level 1 Child Care - Foundation Learning

All early years courses include topics which are integrated with work experience in a range of childcare settings, with children from birth up to eight years of age. All students will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement as they need to show competence in both knowledge and skills. Topics on this course include: - Early learning and childcare - Social care - Learning and development support services - The developing child - Playwork - Working with children with learning difficulties - Supporting literacy and numeracy development - Implementing the early years foundation stage - Child protection and safeguarding - Diversity, Equality and Inclusion - Health & Safety practice
