This course will provide you with a knowledge base for a range of careers in the horticulture industry. It will provide specialised studies relevant to individual vocations and professions within the industry and help you develop a range of skills and techniques essential for successful performance in working life. The course is suitable for school leavers and adults who would like a career in the horticulture industry. Subjects you may study include: * Understand the Principles of Plant Science * Understand the Principles of Soil Science. * Historical Influences * Organic Production * Plant Selection * Indoor Production * Outdoor Production A work placement has to be completed as a mandatory part of the course; the placement should be arranged by the learner themselves involving access to horticulture from the categories similar to: * Wildlife * Conservation * Ecology * Commercial/organic horticulture * Parks and gardens All LMC students will receive tutorial support
