This is a level 5 two year full time course geared towards a career in the fast growing sports coaching industry. The course aims to introduce students to the theory and application of sports coaching in sporting environments. The programme will incorporate football coaching and progressions delivered by staff at LMC. The course is suitable for students that want to gain a higher qualification in sport and that also want to link into industry in order to find employment in sport. The level 5 HND course builds on the syllabus of level 4, with a stronger focus on the social factors that affect the sports industry, coaching technology and nutrition. Work experience forms an integral part of the qualification which gives students the chance to really get to grips with what it means to work in the sports industry and to find the role to which they are most suited.
