As part of its education reform programme, the government wishes A-level courses to 'stretch and challenge' students. The Extended Project Qualification offers an opportunity for students to further their skills beyond the syllabus of their other A-level subjects and begin preparing for university or their future career. You will learn to research, critically select and utilise information from a range of sources. You will gain skills in analysing data, recognising and exploring connections, problem-solving and making decisions critically, creatively and flexibly. You will learn to reflect upon and evaluate your own performance and outcomes against agreed objectives. You will practise a range of organisational skills and strategies to meet key deadlines, and will experiment with a range of communication skills to present your final evidenced outcomes and conclusions. Student quote: "Completing the EPQ was an interesting way to explore an additional subject, whilst developing a range of real-life skills."
