Do you enjoy eating Indian Food? Ever wanted to know how to cook authentic Indian dishes? Discover how to combine different spices and herbs. Cook a 3 course Indian meal and enjoy eating it. Week one will cover starters, week two a main dish (with accompaniment) and week 3 desserts. By the end of the course you will be able to: name 2 wet curries and 2 dry curries, identify the differences between wet curries and dry curries, suggest spices that give colour to Indian dishes, specify thickening agents used in Indian dishes, explain which spices are used mainly for taste in Indian cookery, identify souring agents used in Indian dishes, make Parkoras, Bombay Potatoes, Muttar Paneer, Chapattis, Gajar Ka Halva and Kheer. The course is suitable for beginners with no cooking experience. An apron and 2 small plastic containers each week. text17 There is no formal qualification for this Community Learning course.
