Unlike the other sciences, physics has no limits: everything in your life, on this planet, other planets, to the far reaches of universe and beyond is in physics' job description. Physics is the basis of many other disciplines, including engineering oceanography, seismology, and astronomy (and can be applied to biology or medical science). The course is appropriate for students who want to find out how things in the physical world work, who enjoy applying their mind to solving problems, enjoy carrying out investigations by the application of imaginative and logical thinking, want to use physics to support other qualifications or progress on to further studies or employment. Minimum entry requirements are a GCSE grade B in Physics or a GCSE grade BB in Additional Scienceand Core Science, and a GCSE B in GCSE Mathematics.
