History is a well regardded subject by top universities. The Russell group call it a facilitating subject. A Level History enables students to develop their understandiing of key historical events. The how, when and why questions of history are key to sharpening your critical thinking abilities, which combine analysis, research, essay writing and communication skills to help you solve problems and form arguments for debate. Minimum entry requirements are GCSE History grade B and GCSE English Language or Literature grade 6 (or grade B).
