Economics is the study of alternatives for allocating the scarce resources of our planet in order to better satisfy the needs of our society. It is a fascinating science about real life. The course is appropriate for students who enjoy staying up to date with current affairs, who want to have solid arguments to discuss controversial topics on how our world operates, wish to develop their analytical and critical thinking skills, want to progress onto further studies or employment in areas such as business, finance, banking, accountancy or politics. Minimum entry requirements are a grade 6 (grade B) GCSE Mathematics and a grade 6 (grade B) GCSE in either English Language or Literature.
