AS Further Mathematics

AS Level Further Mathematics enables students to develop their understanding of mathematics and mathematical processes in a way that promotes confidence and fosters enjoyment. The course allows students to develop abilities to reason logically and recognise incorrect reasoning, to generalise and to construct mathematical proofs, extend their range of mathematics skills and techniques and use them in more difficult, unstructured problems. To apply for the AS course you must have achieved at least an A* grade at GCSE and have been accepted on the A Level Mathematics course.
