BTEC Sport and Exercise Science will appeal to any student considering further education or a career in the Sport and Exercise Science field. It is new to Woodroffe starting September 2016 and is equivalent to 3 A-Levels. In total, 13 Units will be covered over the 2 years; 7 Mandatory and 6 Optional units that will be pre-selected by staff. The course covers a variety of topic areas designed to give students a thorough knowledge and understanding of the science of sport with which students can go into a related further education course, an apprenticeship or a career. Students will gain many transferrable skills including communication, teamwork, research and analysis which are valued in both higher education and the workplace.
