This course explains how literacy (English) is taught in primary schools today. This course will also help you improve or brush up your own skills so you can help your child at home with English home work. You will gain confidence and be able to help your child with homework. A certificate of attendance is awarded at the end of the course. Just bring along a pen and a notebook. You will set some targets with your tutor and assess these together as the course progresses. You can get avice about other English and maths courses. You could move on to take a functional skills course in English or GCSE English if you want to.
