Media studies is the study of all aspects of the media. The course covers a wide variety of media and is always drawing on the news to provide up to date examples of the ever changing media world. Studying media not only engages students with current affairs but, also offers them the chance to develop their own ideas through class debates and discussions. A-level media studies offers students the ability to extend their practical skills in the medium they work in, building their ability to research independently, work collaboratively and deepening their appreciation and understanding of the role media plays in day to day life.
