This creative and thought-provoking new qualification gives students the practical skills, theoretical knowledge and confidence to succeed in a broad range of careers. Students who simply enjoy studying the subject can use their UCAS points to gain University places to read subjects such as Chemistry, Geography and Business while others may embark upon exciting Art and Performance related HE courses or retail employment. You will investigate historical, social, cultural, environmental and economic influences on design and technology, whilst enjoying opportunities to put your learning in to practice by producing products of your own choice. The personal skills and qualities developed include decision making, resourcefulness, imagination, responsibility, innovation, observation and a regard for high standards.
