On this course you will undertake a programme that includes physical fitness, careers and skills required in the emergency services, and/or armed service while also gaining the maths, English and interpersonal skills you will need in your second year when you progress on to the Level 2 course.This course gives you the opportunity to learn about and prepare for life in the public services sector. Thanks to the colleges close links with local public services you will have the opportunity to participate in work based learning such as riot training with the police or joining a local Cadet Force.This programme will give you an opportunity to develop your skills in your chosen vocational area and also gain improved maths and English qualifications. Employers identify that having good levels of English and maths, and employability skills are essential in order for you to be a successful employee. Your full programme will include maths, English, tutorial and work related activity as well as you vocational course.
