This course prepares you for a career as a Teaching Assistant in schools as it gives you the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills required for the job. It is for those who wish to become, or are newly employed as, a teaching assistant.There are no specific entry requirements; however, a good standard of literacy and numeracy will be expected for the job role. You will be required to take an initial assessment in literacy and numeracy prior to enrolment on the course and we will guide you towards relevant additional learning opportunities where appropriate.You must also have secured a school placement.
