Outdoor Adventure Leadership and Development

The outdoor activity sector is an expanding industry. Regionally and nationally there is a need for appropriately qualified staff. The Foundation Degree prepares students with the knowledge, attributes and skills required to pursue a career in the outdoor industry supporting and promoting the development of outdoor activities.This programme is aimed at people who wish to find employment in the outdoor industry. The programme develops the knowledge and skills required to enhance the chances for graduates to gain employment. While some elements will be delivered in standard mode, the course will make use of elements of block delivery to allow intensive focus on topics which develop key professional skills and attributes. Due to the nature of the course there will be a mix of practical and academic work.
