English (Functional Skills)

If you didn't get the maths and English grades you wanted and are undecided about your career goals then why not join one of our literacy or numeracy classes. We can help you work towards the Maths and English qualifications you need in order to progress onto a vocational programme. Improving your maths and English skills can help you become more conifdent in your work or daily life, and help you to prepare for further study or training. This well-established programme offers you the opportunity to improve your skills within a supportive and friendly atmosphere.Some aspects of the course will be assessed through short tests, exams, written assignments and portfolio work.No qualifications are required, although you will need to be able to demonstrate that you are at least Entry Level 3 in English before embarking on Level 1 maths. You will need to attend an informal interview. Students are unable to enrol directly on to the course.
