Course shortcode: LAW01 A Level Law begins with looking at the legal systems and structures to get a full flavour of the two main types of law and the processes involved in both. This includes the court hierarchy and judiciary, and how cases are conducted for both sides of the law. You will then go on to study the sources of law which inform the differences between statute and judge made law, as well as the mechanics of these sources of law. During second year you will take an in-depth look at criminal law and examine murder, manslaughter, offences against the person, offences against property, defences and principals of law.B in English Language or Literature required
