Physicists claim that 'there is physics in everything'. To make sense of almost every aspect of our world - from the smallest part of our bodies to the enormity of galaxies - we use the basic ideas of matter, force and energy. This course has a broad-based content which includes modern developments in physics and their application. Competence in mathematics is as important a tool in the understanding of physical concepts and models as the physics itself and we recommend that you study at least AS mathematics as one of your options.
