Students will build on their knowledge from the GCSE German course by studying a wide variety of topics and at the end of the course will be able to hold their own in demanding, intellectual conversations. Apart from their competence in he language, by studying AS German students will need to show a good knowledge of aspects of German-speaking ociety and artistic culture in the German-speaking world. As part of the syllabus students will also study a text or a film in the target language. Grammar and key skills (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking) will also be developed further. In addition to the work covered in the AS course, at A2 you will examine multiculturalism and political life in German-speaking society.
